We partnered with Seva Kitchen Porirua to organise a free community lunch on 29 August at the Sikh temple in Porirua, and we're grateful to everyone who provided meals, volunteered, or donated to support the event. A special thank you to our amazing volunteers Tricia and Deborah, our team Andrés and Yezsa who helped prepare the food, and Fred from Maudrick Homemades and Andrea from PNHK (Refugee/Migrant Community Navigator) - Porirua for generously providing kai for the event. Some of the leftover kai from the lunch was donated to @lindencommunitycentre for their pantry and kai kitchen—helping the generosity of the day reach even further into our community. The collective is growing, and moments like this are exactly why we keep connecting and showing up for each other. While our current environment makes it harder to thrive for everyone, the power of our community is there to provide a hand. Thank you to everyone who came along and made this event what it was. 💚
