Culture Share: Making Gỏi Cuốn (Vietnamese Summer Rolls)
Mānawatia a Matariki! ✨ As we celebrated Matariki this weekend—a time for reflection, connection, and coming together—we were delighted to bring our community together for a special Culture Share workshop, learning how to make fresh gỏi cuốn (Vietnamese summer rolls). Under Thi Thach's guidance, participants discovered the fresh flavours and traditions of Vietnamese cuisine while learning the techniques behind making authentic gỏi cuốn. It was a joyful afternoon filled with food, culture, conversation, and new connections. A heartfelt thank you to Thi, Moni and the rest of the Sàigòn Xin Chào team for generously sharing your knowledge, hospitality, and passion for Vietnamese cuisine. Thank you to Viet Hub NZ for your support and collaboration in helping bring this workshop to our community. A special thank you to An Luong for volunteering and helping make the event run smoothly, and to Anh Le for beautifully capturing the day through photography. Finally, thank you to everyone who joined us! Here are some highlights from the event! 🥢🌿✨
