This privacy policy describes how the "MC Blog" application (the "App") accesses and uses information from Instagram, and applies to the static blog site generated from the Instagram account @multiculturalcollectivenz.
This App is a personal/internal tool used by Multicultural Collective to display its own Instagram posts as a blog. It does not collect information from, or act on behalf of, any other Instagram account or end user.
Using the Instagram Graph API, the App reads the following information from the connected Instagram Business account only:
The App does not access private messages, follower lists, analytics data about other users, or any data belonging to accounts other than the one it is connected to.
The information above is used solely to generate a static website that republishes the account's own public posts as blog entries. No data is sold, shared with advertisers, or provided to any third party.
Downloaded images and post text are stored as static files as part of the generated website, hosted by us on our own hosting provider. Access tokens used to connect to the Instagram API are stored privately and are never published or shared.
Because the App only mirrors content that is already public on the connected Instagram account, removing a post from Instagram and rebuilding the site will remove it from the generated blog as well. To request removal of any content or data associated with this App, contact us using the details below.
Access tokens are kept in private configuration files and are not committed to any public code repository. Only the account owner has access to the credentials used to generate the site.
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
